The pursuit of a classical curriculum continues: children from class VI onwards learn topics in History, Geography, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, Hindi and Sanskrit in disciplined ways. They go beyond the textbook in each topic. Their learning occurs through the following techniques: research, creative writing, lecture, discussion, debate, presentations, performance, the arts, and interaction with the community. Apart from the content of classical knowledge, our students are taught to be in tune with themselves and their environment. Equally, they are taught to be endlessly curious and questioning, even as they are respectful towards age and history. One of our proud achievements is to weave together into a non-conflict this seeming duality of ‘tradition’ and ‘modernity.’
